About the job:
In this role you will own and drive multiple new product development projects within Product Line and will be accountable for execution results (on time, on spec, and within budget). You'll work across various functions including: systems, design, test, planning, applications and manufacturing departments from concept initiation through the product ramping-to-volume. You'll convey a sense of urgency, monitors progress, and redirect efforts when goals are not being met.
Additional responsibilities include:
•Coordinate engineering and assembly teams to create qualification plans to release a high quality and reliable new product to market.
•Coordinate with marketing, characterization, product, systems, layout, applications and design engineering to release new products to market.
•Create and actively manage project boundary agreement and continue to evaluate at each project milestone.
•Drive for cost leadership by constructively challenging the functional teams on design, test and assembly of the product.
•Ability to create risk analysis for every new project and continuously manage and update risks that impact the project.
•Update project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar SW to keep track of critical path based on latest information.
•Systematically provide project information and keep team and management updated on progress of key milestones, cost scorecard, manufacturability report, risk analysis, sample schedules, status of various open action items.
•Work with customers to provide on-time sample support and meet their production schedules.
•Work with failure analysis lab to verify and provide a response plan to fix customer problems.
•Build and manage budget forecasts for the ongoing projects and update team and management on a quarterly cycle.
•Work with operation and sustaining teams to re-release catalog parts as AEC-Q100 for automotive customers.
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
5 + years’ related experience
Ability to create realistic project plan schedules to include multiple fabrication and assembly/test sites optimizing cost and cycle times.
