Job Description Manage a team of product engineers who support product sustaining activities at Probe covering various product groups in TI.
• Day-to-day sustaining activities: Mentor and coach engineers on low yield analysis, with systematic and analytical approach to identify potential root causes from any of the following: test program sensitivity due to limits or test conditions, hardware sensitivity due to design or components, test setup sensitivity from complex setup conditions or material sensitivity from fab. Identify and implement long term fixes on repeated issues to prevent future reoccurrence. Own product/test related on hold lot disposition and work closely with fab, AEO and business unit to drive down lot on hold number.
• New Product Introduction: Manage new product releases for probe operations and assign priorities to engineers to execute new product releases which are critical for securing new design wins. Collaborate with BU project managers for new products that require new tools/processes, and lead the appropriate manufacturing teams (test process, equipment) for qualification and release of these new tools/processes.
• Drive improvement projects: Identify opportunities that can improve cost, quality and productivity matrixes such as low yield improvement, test time reduction, tester conversions, and process improvement. Work with capacity planning and operation team to identify high impact devices and work with the team to identify productivity improvement opportunities (test time reduction, top yield losses and improvement, conversion into efficient roadmap test platforms). Work closely with equipment engineering, process engineering and manufacturing to meet and improve overall probe operation score card.
• Staff Development: Responsible for career and technical growth plan of all the engineers in the product engineering group including regular career plan conversations, training plan for each individual and technical consultation on a day to day basis.
