Texas Instruments is seeking an analog IC designer to work with an industry leading design team on cutting edge products for high speed communications and industrial video markets.
More about the job:
• Work with digital and systems teams in developing system/chip specs
• Create block level specification from system budgets and chip specs
• Design of high speed (20GHz+) analog circuits for serial data communications
• Create Verilog-A behavioral models
• Supervise floor-planning and layout of chip and block level
• Proactively identify risks and drive solutions to mitigate them.
• Lab evaluation and silicon debug on new designs
• Detailed documentation and design reviews
Minimum qualifications include:
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in CMOS and BiCMOS process technologies
• Circuit design experience of high performance analog products (multi-Gbps equalizers, CDRs, drivers)
• Experienced in designing low noise, high linearity circuits
• Able to make system level judgment and associated trade-offs in communication blocks
• Proficient in Cadence, ADS, MATLAB toolsets
• Expertise in design of high-speed circuits for low power applications
• Has successfully taped out multiple devices
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience with industry standard tools such as Spectre, Hspice, AMS
• Circuit, system level verification, EM/IR flows & tools
• Experience with transistor level & block level designs.
• Thorough understanding of design rules, & knowledge of physical design verification (LVS/DRC/ERC/Extraction)
• Understanding of Mismatch analysis & MonteCarlo methodology/sims,
• Understanding of device physics & deep-sub micron issues.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux env, and scripting (Tcl, SKILL, or Perl)
