About the job:
o Work with customers on device definitions and identify conceptual solutions to system problems; reduce concepts to working level IC specifications
o Produce and maintain IC specifications, datasheets, applications guides, spec-compliance-matrix, etc.
o Participate as a key development team member, evaluate system/design tradeoffs, identify solutions, innovate

o Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related
o 5+ years relevant experience
o Analog circuit skills including basic transistor functional understanding, and basic analog and digital transistor level circuit understanding.
o Basic analog signal chain knowledge including sampling theory, SNR analysis, A/D and D/A conversion, basic filtering and modulation
o Basic power circuits knowledge including basics of LDOs, DC-DC converters, buck, boost, etc.
o Basic digital circuit understanding including combinational and sequential logic, digital interfaces, memory, etc.
o Basic knowledge of the IC development cycle and how functions work together including systems, design, verification, test, validation, etc.
o Strong track record of developing system-level solutions, defining semiconductor IC products, writing specifications and other system documents
o Detail oriented with a passion to produce high-quality, accurate, correct, and comprehensive system level documentation
o Strong customer interface skills, comfortable working through challenges, objective and pragmatic
o Strong teaming skills, motivate and encourage others, bring out the best to find creative and innovative solutions
o Basic understanding of opportunity assessment, business and product strategy, basic financial metrics
o Master’s in Electrical Engineer, or related
o Advanced power electronics knowledge including transistor level LDO, DC-DC converters, buck, boost, etc. design background
o Background, coursework, or direct experience doing IC transistor level design
