Job Description Texas Instrument’s Connected MCU division is looking for an Embedded SW Engineer to take on the challenges involved with developing next generation security features for Microcontroller devices targeted at the exploding IoT market. Working with other SW engineers, HW engineers, and security experts, you will develop embedded SW to enable advanced security features across our device families. In this role, you will:

• Write high quality C code to run within an RTOS environment

• Write unit and integration tests

• Write Java code to perform automated testing

• Participate in code reviews

• Perform in-depth security analyses

• Estimate time to complete assigned tasks, and

• Write software design documentation

Because of the nature of our projects, you will do well if you are passionate about the quality of your code and have a strong desire to produce robust and easy to use systems. To do this you will need a deep understanding of the C language and how C code is translated to assembly. Furthermore, as the world of security is constantly evolving, you will need a desire for continuous learning and professional development.

Our SW development process uses modern tools such as Git, Jira, Jenkins, and more. Experience with these tools, TI’s Code Composer Studio, and TI’s line of Connected MCU products is beneficial but not required. Experience with safety critical and/or security critical development is also desired.
