About the Job:

A candidate for digital design verification (DV) should have a solid background in IC development – design and/or DV. The candidate should be able to handle digital top-level functional verification, either on their own for a small digital core or on a small team for larger cores. Candidate will have prior extensive use of constrained-random methodology and working in a regression-based design flow. The candidate will be able to work from a specification document to build a DV plan and a full DV environment (including monitors, checkers, models, and coverage) and testbenches. Knowledge of some form of hardware description language is necessary (Verilog/SystemVerilog preferred), along with some form of standard digital DV methodology experience (UVM or UVM-like). The candidate will need to be familiar with UNIX-like OS environments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BSEE

  • 5 years related experience

  • Solid background in IC development

  • Ability to handle digital top-level functional verification

  • Extensive use of constrained-random methodology

  • Experience working in a regression-based design flow

  • Ability to build a DV plan and a DV environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Assertion-based verification methodology

  • UVM

  • Mixed-signal verification

o Verilog-A modeling

o Experience with AMS simulation environment and

running full-chip toplevel

  • Cadence toolset (irun/ncsim/Simvision/Virtuoso/etc.)

  • Medium-level computing skills: shell scripting, PERL, etc.

  • Formal verification
