Job Description Responsible for Systems engineering of Analog Motor Drives in Industrial, Automotive and consumer applications

Strong understanding on Brushed, Stepper, and BLDC motor structure and control theory.

Strong understanding of industrial and automotive systems and where motors fit into these applications. Ability to translate high-level customer needs into low-level specifications required to build products that solve customer problems. Analog power electronics, Good understanding of peripheral interfaces and communication protocols such as SPI, UART, RS485, I2C, USB etc. and basic software architecture, board level analog and digital integrated circuit designs, EMI reduction techniques, designing precision analog circuits and testing techniques. Systems and applications knowledge with the following analog components: ADC’s, DAC’s, opamps, power management, discrete transistors, passives, motors, battery charging and digital components.

• Strong system level understanding of motor drive in automotive and industrial systems for all key motor types listed above

• Own the roadmap for motor drive products in assigned market. This includes understanding the market size, competition, differentiation, key specifications, etc. Translate customer needs into detailed specifications that can used by design to build the necessary circuits.

• Practical knowledge of analog power electronics as it relates to motor drive – H-bridge topologies, discrete MOSFETs, current shunt amplifiers, and protection.

• Experience in PCB development & design (schematic & layout), PSPICE simulation

• Excellent lab skills and interpersonal skills are a must with frequent communication with regional FAEs, customers, and design engineers in the factory.

• Must have strong written/spoken communication skills, ability to organize information well and write with clarity and efficiency for the target audience, whether internal or for customer communication. Exhibit a thorough and conscientious working style without the need for constant direction.
