Job Description About the group/ team
This requirement is open for the Lab engineering team under Analog Engineering Operations (AEO) group at Texas Instruments India. AEO organization works on a diverse portfolio of analog, mixed signal, standard linear and logic products. The AEO team (25+ Engineers) also takes care of the India Test Lab in India. Our charter is to get TI’s analog products to entitlement cost model and thereby help the company to generate high margin products in automotive, industrial, communications, computer and consumer markets. The team also works very closely with design and new product development teams for product debug and customer failure analysis. The Test Lab in India is an integral part of new product development and sustaining. The Lab is in 50K sq ft area, and provides all required infrastructure for characterization and validation. The Lab Engineering team (12+ Engineers) will be responsible to complete the new device Characterization and validation and deliver a clean test results to the product line teams.
What would you be doing in this role?
Collaborate and work in a team environment with Design, Verification, Validation, Applications, and Test teams to ensure Quality of characterization and validation for all new product development.
Will be responsible for creating the characterization setup and its debug including h/w debug to ensure quality of test results.
Characterization data summary and reporting with first level of analysis of failures including basic test debug will be part of the lab Engineers work
Work closely on with Lab teams to ensure efficient utilization of lab assets and maximize the through put
Work on char test program optimization and sometime new test development for achieving optimal test results
Work with program managers to establish timelines for project deliverables.
Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement
What is required-?
Excellent communication (oral and written) skills and a great team player to coordinate with teams
Very strong understanding of analog and digital circuit fundamentals
Past work experience in semiconductor device characterization and validation and testing
Good understanding of Electrical and Thermal characterization of semiconductor devices
Expertise in schematic design and layout for char boards and its debug
Well versed in statistics for test data analysis
Strong hardware and test software troubleshooting skills
Good command over usage of lab test equipment like Oscilloscopes, Analyzers, Generators, Active Loads, thermal force equipment, Precision Power Supplies etc
Expert in Lab equipment automation using Python, C# or Labview etc
Experience with working on one or more analog/mixed signal Tester platforms.
Knowledge in Teradyne Eagle or Hp93k test platform or any ATE platform
PCB layout and debug skills
