About the Job

We are seeking an experienced communicator to manage internal and external communications for recruiting and employer branding, talent development, global rotation programs and intern communications. This position requires strong writing skills and experience using various media to create compelling, measurable communications. The ideal candidate should be a collaborative team player adept at managing professional relationships and influencing without authority.

Primary Responsibilities:

--Manages internal and external communications for recruiting and employer branding, talent development, global rotation programs and intern communications

--Works closely with recruiting and talent development leaders to understand communications needs, build strategic communications plans and execute against them

--Develops strategic communications plans/ maximizes use of internal and external communications channels to:

---- elevate and strengthen our employer brand among employees/ new hires and potential hires

----engage and inspire interns/ employees

----promote TI as a great place to work (internally and externally)

----deepen understanding/ strengthen utilization of talent development programs

---- increase effectiveness of global rotation program communications

--Creates stories, videos, social media content, marketing and promotional materials – print and digital

--Collaborates with creative team to ensure brand consistency/ visual identity and execute visual elements of communications campaigns

--Oversees annual updates to new hire orientation materials

--Manages maintenance and updates of careers site and internal communication sites

--Uses analytics to identify areas of success and improvement and continuously refine communications programs

--Develops messaging; drives communications deliverables through effective project management

--Copy edits and proofreads communications

--Collaborates with communicators across the organization to understand optimal ways to target and reach different audiences in order to deliver highly effective communications

--Manages multiple communications projects simultaneously

--Manages projects on-time and on-budget, from strategy development to final outcome measurement

--Prepares briefing materials and presentations

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of communications experience

  • A proven track record of producing high-quality, measurable, effective communications

  • Excellent storyteller in written, video and digital content

  • Able to tailor our story to target specific internal and external audiences

  • Strong writing and editing skills

  • Self-starter; proactive work style with a strong work ethic

  • A “can do” person; quick study; able to multi-task and solve problems

  • Strong project management skills

  • Collaborative team player

  • Strong analytical skills; able to translate complex information into simple, easy-to-understand language

  • Coachable; intrinsically motivated to achieve excellence, continually grow and learn new methods and approaches

  • Able to work with people at all levels of the organization and influence without authority

  • Understands AP Style/ adheres to TI writing standards and guidelines

  • Able to work well across teams in a matrixed environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in recruiting/ employer brand and/ or talent development communications

  • Experience in the high tech industry
